Montagne Jeunesse - Iced Crystal Exfoliating Face Mask

Yes I was dubious when I saw this Montagne Jeunesse face mask on the shelf but the ever inquisitive side of me decided to buy it and try it out.

It contains spearmint and dead sea salt so is quite refreshing but as a face mask I wasn't that impressed. I've used other Montagne Jeunesse masks which I much prefer but this one is good if you're trying to save time on the whole face mask, exfoliating routine.

It didn't dry hard like most masks and for 99p I guess it isn't bad but I would buy others over this one.

I bought this at Home Bargains.

Models Own Hi-Definer Lashed Up Volume Mascara

Wow that was a long blog post title! When Models Own had their 50% sale I thought I would try something from them I hadn't tried before and I chose the Hi-Definer Lashed-Up Volume Mascara.

I hadn't heard much about Models Own mascaras so didn't really know what to expect. They do several different ones but I chose one that claimed to define and volumise the lashes.

The brush isn't too big and makes it easy to apply the product. The product itself is a little watery for my liking and I found it hard to build up to create mega volume, it did define my lashes nicely though.

Have you tried Models Own mascaras? What did you think?

Oh and this mascara is £6 and available from Boots and Models Own.

MUA Pro-Brow kit

Benefit probably do the most famous brow kit in their Brow Zings brow shaping kit but at £22.50 it's not cheap. So when MUA released their Pro-Brow kit at a mere £3.50 we've all been snapping it up. As I'm writing this is it out of stock on the MUA website.

I had been waiting to buy it off the MUA website as no Superdrug near me sold it but when I popped into Superdrug in the next town to mine I saw a brand new spangly MUA stand which sold everything so of course I snapped this little beauty up.

You get two shades of brow colours, a highlighter, wax, a pair of mini tweezers and an applicator brush.

I gave the tweezers away straight away as I never stray away from my good old faithful Tweezermans but when I decided to use it properly I found that the brow shades were a little off for my hair colour. The darkest colour which by looking at it is the closest to my brow colour but on application it has red pigments which don't match, the other was far to light. I think I need to play around to get a good colour match. But once shaded in my brows lasted all day.

For the price of this kit I am quite impressed but I need to play around with it a little more but first impressions are good!

As I've already mentioned this is £3.50 and available from Superdrug and MUA

Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect Foundation

I'm a big fan of Bourjois Flower Perfection foundation and when I recently ran out I thought I'd try one of their others. My local Boots didn't have many foundations to try but out of them I preferred the 1, 2, 3 Perfect one.

Unlike most other foundations this contains 3 different colour correcting pigments:
Yellow - to conceal dark circles
Mauve - to perk up dull complexions
Green - to reduce the look of redness

This is a little light in terms of coverage for my liking, I like medium to heavy coverage because I have really bad dark circles and light coverage foundations are just a waste of time as they don't cover them.

I do like this foundation but it's not my choice for everyday use. In fact I have repurchased the Flower Perfection foundation as I do prefer it.

This is £10.99 and available from Boots and Superdrug.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara

I don't normally experiment with different mascara as I have a couple of firm favourite which others simply don't come close to matching. I decided to take the plunge and try a new one and I chose Rimmel's Scandaleyes mascara.

This product is meant to give your volume and define your lashes corner-to-corner.

I have to admit the size of the brush did scare me a little as it's quite big, I've used large mascara brushes before but this one looked huge! Also what shocked me was how runny the formula was, it made it had to work with and took quite a long time to dry.

All in all this product just isn't for me, I've heard loads of people raving about it but I just didn't like this mascara. Have you tried this, what did you think?

Review - EOS lip balm

I got this EOS lip balm a few months ago and have been testing it out on and off since then.

The balm comes in a variety of different flavours and I chose the summer fruits one.

Unlike other balms this one is spherical in shape and you don't have to twist it up as you simply screw off the lid and there it is.

I found this balm not as moisturising as others I've tried and isn't one of my favourites, maybe in the summer when my skin isn't quite so dry and isn't in need of such an intensive moisture boost this will be a good product for me to use.

Have you used EOS balms before, what did you think?
